Multiple regex on one line

Is there any way to take these two lines:

$purpose =~ s/'//g;
$purpose =~ s/"//g;

And merge them into one? I.e. globally remove all types of quotes in
one s/ expression?

Yes.

s/['"]//g;

Better yet:

tr/'"//d;
