I am building a reservation system for a client using ASP.NET and VB.NET.
They want the ability to create customers and invoices in the application and
then export them into QuickBooks. No problems there. My problem is
QuickBooks is stored on one server and the application will be run from a
seperate web server. Because of permission and security issues, I am not
allowed to have the web server conect to the QuickBooks server to perform the
operations I need, but need to find a way to conect to the local machine to
the Quick Books server. How can I do this? I was originally told to write
an ActiveX component to handle the client machine and server but I don't
think I can write one in VB.NET. Am I wrong?
Thanks for any help or insight to this problem.
