open documents

I allow the users to open documents but they get prompted to Open Save
Cancel, how can I just open the document automatically without the user being
prompted to save, etc.?

You cannot.
Think of it from a security point of view.
Would you want a web site to be able to open a virus on your computer
without your consent?
This is why the user is always given options about what they want to do with
a (potentially dangerous) file that is coming at them from across the
internet.

One possible way around this is to use a thick client, such as an ActiveX
control, which has greater security privileges than a stand alone web page.

The browser will display the documents that it is capable of displaying. It
does this by looking at the file extension of the image, or by checking the
MIME Type headers of the Response. If the browser is showing the dialog box
you describe, the MIME type must not be recognized by the browser.
