populating a datalist with a multidimensional array

Helo,
I have a problem with a datalist if I bind it with a 2dimensional array.
How can I request each column separate, for example if I write :

<ItemTemplate>
<%#Container.DataItem%> ' I get the both values from a 2 dimensional
array, how can I request just a certain column in the current row.
</ItemTemplate>
