reading system.out information in tomcat

Hi,
I have problems reading out information in tomcat using JSP
the application is developed in Win with jdeveloper
and deployed and tested from the browser in linux

everytime I use ex.printstacktrace
I can see the output in Window/jdeveloper,
but how can I see that from a linux mozilla window?
I mean, outside from every friendly design tool?

Look in your Tomcat\logs folder. The system.out is directed to the log file
when it's not outputting to a command window.

I have to develop a project in a rush and I hadn't time to spend
documenting on tomcat configuration (somebody else made it)
but now I think I have to deal with it
