Same page name in multiple directory problem

Matt

Hi

I hope someone out there can help me with this.... I have purchased a
hosting account from 1and1.co.uk, and have set up a number of domains.
Each of these domains points to a different directory within my
webspace, so for example, www.myfirstdomain.com has a destination of
http://www.sXXXXXXX.websitehome.co.uk/First, and
www.myseconddomain.com has a destination of
http://www.sXXXXXXX.websitehome.co.uk/Second.

Now both the first and second directories have a file in called
Links.aspx. These files are however different from each other.

When I look at my websites using
www.sXXXXXXX.websitehome.co.uk/First/Links.aspx and
www.sXXXXXXX.websitehome.co.uk/Second/Links.aspx, both pages look
fine, but when I try and look at www.myseconddomain/Links.aspx, the
wrong Links file is displayed... that is the file /First/Links.aspx is
shown.

This problem only seems to occur when the same file name is used in
more than one place. I have spoken to 1and1 support but they claim I
have "programmed something wrongly".

Anyone with any ideas (other than to ensure every page has a unique
name... this won't work for default.aspx!)?

Thanks in advance!

Matt

Hi,

Try these alternatives:

1) Check if the Links.aspx exists in the root folder. If yes, delete
it and check what happens.

2) Delete the Links.aspx from myfirstdomain folder, and check if the
www.myseconddomain/Links.aspx still runs.

This would clarify your problem.
