-server option for VM

I was using JDK1.4 beta and it seems to have a -server option enabled. Now
that I switched to another new VM 1.4.2_02, I can get that to work any more.
What is going on??

You'll need to give more info than just saying "it doesn't work".
The -server switch is still available, so it should work.

What problems are you exactly experiencing?
