Show up process indicator while process is running then do page redirection

Hi,

In aspx, the page is reloaded after an event call(i.e button click) has been
finished. I need to show up a process indicator image on client's page while
executing a server side request which was invoked by a button click event.
After the process is done, the client web page needs to be redirected to the
path returned by the executed process.

How do I go about this problem? I'm stuck on this
