smart input routine, event-driven app in console??

hi,

I'm implementing a command line interfaces in java and
I'd like to implement some fancy user input routines
featuring stuff like auto-completion etc. Stuff
like InputStream.readLine() is not suitable. I
need to write my own realtime-input handlers.

Any tips on how to do this?

In the meantime I already found jline.sourceforge.net ....
I think that's the way.
