Strange prob

Hello,

I have a datagrid which I has the ability to update
the records. Above the dg I have a textbox 2 validators
and a submit button. Now the problem is that when I want
to edit a row then the validator comes up with the message
that the field is required... Now I have insterted the
textbox the validators and the panel inside a panel which
I hide when the user presses the edit button. When he
presses now the update button the panel is showen again.
BUT this works only for the first time. When I redo the
same thing again then it again comes up with the message
that the field is required and the panel doesnt hide the
controls. I dont know why this works for the first time
and not for the second time. Any ideas?

Update: I have set the CausesValidation property to false
of the edit button, but its still the same behaviour.
Maybe I should mention that I have disabled the viewstate
of the datagrid and handling the item.index seperatly.

Any suggestion?

Update2: I have enabled viewstate and now it works,
however I dont want to viewstate. Any suggestions?
