Strange Problem!-Lastactivitydate doesnt update with Membership.GetUser()

Hi,

I have a problem with Lastactivitydate .

It doesnt update with Membership.GetUser() method in production server.but
its working fine in local PC , all the settings and web.config elements are
same.

Finally i am posting here after spent days with forums and MSDN.
Anything I am missing ...
