Swap Image does not work with IE

D

Dietmar Prantner

Hello,

I tried a Javascript on my homepage that works fine on Netscape, works
nearlyx normal on Opera but does not work at all on Internet Explorer. Is
there anybody out there who can help? I use a frameset of 3 frames. One of
these Frames has thumbnails with the javascript code for the image-swap -
the big picture should change whenever someone clicks on the corresponding
thumb.

IE does not do anything if you click on a thumb - and also does not show me
an error message - altough I set up error-logging for script errors :-(

I would be a happy man if someone out there could help me. The Javascript
code is on the left frame of my new test-page

Thanks for your help

Dietmar

Hi Andrew

Thanks for your reply. I already tried some changes on the first few
thumbs... the rest of the thumbs should still behave like described. They
work on Netscape but nothing happens if you click on them in IE. The first 2
thumbs work now, but they do not replace the picture in the right frame -
they just load the big picture into the right frame - the text beyond the
picture gets lost and the big pictures are not centered anymore - it was
just a try :-(

Thanks for trying also other browsers and for the comment about the
pictures. Photography seems to me quite simple compared to Javascript :-(

The first two links work fine in IE 6.0026.

The third opens the left hand page (navigation
film strip) in the main content are and the
fourth and (5th, 6th..) do nothing.

Then we come to Moz. 1.7.2. Interestingly,
while the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th behave
just like IE, the third brings up the
picture rather than the menu.

Comments beyond that.. (shrugs vaguely)
I don't know, but I though it might be
important to all be on the same page as
far as the observed behaviour.

[ Nice pics BTW, great lighting. ]
