test_readline.rb hang in mingw32

Hello Rubists,

I've tried running the tests for readline (make check) under mingw32.

Tried with both both readlines (4.3 and 5.0) from gnuwin32. (as binary
packages, not the source compilation).

It seems under both cases, tests hang in line 20:

Readline.readline("> ", true)

under mswin32 it works without issues, but i got this working
previously using the mingwPORT version, so:

The other mingw32 users around here, got this working?

Should I take the mingwPORT route instead of the precompiled versions
available at gnuwin32 site?

Thanks in advance for the comments,
