URGENT-DataBinding expression in the codebehind

Hello,
Can i do databinding expression in the code behind instead of doing it in
the .aspx/.ascx page
like value=''<%#Container.DataItem.City%>".
Say in the ItemDataBinding event or any other. If yes how?
