Utitily Method: XML Entity Replacement??

I thought I saw a method (someplace in the J2SE API) that would
replace all entity characters with their corresponding reference
values (and visa-versa)?? Is this true or am I imagining things?

There may be one in the API, but I know for sure there are two tools

both are free and allow cannibalising.
