VB.net Anyone?

Does anyone here have any idea how to combine 2 exe files into a single
install file using vb.net? I have written my first program for a my uncle
(who is somewhat computer illiterate), but in order to install it on my test
box, I have to first install dotnetfx.exe (the framework files). I'd like to
have a windows install file to do it all at once via an autorun. I can
always do it the old fasioned batch file way if all else fails.

I feel the need to answer your question with another question:
What does install files, or for that matter, even .exe-files, have to do
with HTML?

I know for a fact that this, as well as VB.net, doesn't have anything to do
with HTML coding. Windows programming, however...

Besides, is that way --->

Yes, you are quite correct. It is that way -------->. But, most of the
folks I've received help from are right here. And my question had nothing to
do with HTML at all (hence the subject line). I am fairly certain that there
are several people here who are well versed in actual programming languages
and thought that perhaps I might be able to obtain their assistance via
email. I opted to ask here rather than by emailing them directly in order to
determine if anyone was willing/able to help me out.
And as far as your statement that you "know for a fact" that vb.net
doesn't have anything to do with HTML coding is concerned, you have
obviously never used asp.net (which is an available tool in the start up
menu of vb.net). Additionally, vb.net may be utilized to develope web based
applications. So, while it may not have anything to do with coding HTML, it
is a language that I believe most serious developers have investigated.
I suppose you must be terribly bored to have replied to the original
post. I CLEARLY stated that the post concerned VB.NET in the subject line.
If you are familiar with vb.net and chose to read the post, that was the
intent. If you just read it so you could cry about someone posting off
topic, then please take a flying leap.
Incidentally, I did find the solution to my programming issue and have
just finished compiling the files and burned them to disc for delivery
tommorow. So, if there is anyone in this group that knows how to program in
vb.net, I no longer need the assistance I'd requested earlier today.

That's beside the point. If everyone started posting off-topic requests
for the rather flimsy reason you've give, the group would be swamped
with garbage.

In future try .Net groups. MS has some good ones, so go there.

If you had tried googling "dotnetfx.exe install and vb.net" you would
have been rewarded with your answer. Not to mention you would not
have had everyone yell at you about the fact that this has nothing to
do with HTML

Touche. You are correct, and I was out of line. But, flimsy reason or no, I
just figured I'd ask in the most knowledgable forum I frequent. That, and I
kinda figured that the topic of web server configuration (what
software/permissions/etc) have been asked and answered here, maybe someone
would be able to help me as well. To be honest, I figured you to be one of
the ones who may have checked out vb.net. I tend to not ask for much advice
unless I am comfortable with the folks I ask it from. I've been a lurker
here for well over 2 years. And while I don't post much, I feel comfortable
here. Again, my apologies for the off topic post.

For some reason, the MS groups don't seem to get to my server very quickly.
I had posted a previous question to one of them (can't remember which at the
moment - I'm subscribed to several) and my my post didn't show up for me for
over an hour. Don't know if it's their server or mine. But, in the interest
of keeping the peace, I will exercise more patience in the future and post
any queries to their group.

You also are correct. To be honest, I had not Googled for the answer. I
had searched MS website and their info seems to lead you to believe the
framework files were incorporated at compilation (it is not, just the
settings for the install to verify prior installation). As it ended, a
friend IRL let me use an install creating program he had (no, he didn't give
it to me - I took the files to his box).
As I did in a previous post in this thread, I apologize for the the off
topic post.
