Hi Guys
Can I just ask if ASP/ADO/OLEDB/Tab-delimited performance can be improved if
I have a separate ASP page for each tab-delimited file rather than just 1
ASP page that parses each.
Can I also ask if tab-delimited files perform worse than CSV files.
For those who haven't read previous posts, I had a site that was working
great with this method and then all of a sudden I keep getting horrendous
time out problems. See the site at http://www.bardwells.co.uk.
The method of the client editing their lists in Excel, saving them to
tab-delims and then uploading them was working great and I don't want to
change it to be honest. I know the way is to have a DB, but this was
working fine until either my multiple ASP pages to 1 page change or
FastHosts recent 'upgrade' caused this problem.
Any feedback you would be very much appreciated.
