I have a WindowsForms application that communicates via TCP/IP or SNMP
(using IP*Works components) with various devices on my local network.
I would
like to duplicate the same functionality in a WebForms application.
Instead of
running a native Windows application, the user would use a browser
linked via
http or https to a server running the equivalent ASP.NET app. How can
I get
access to the locally networked devices if I use this architecture?
Can the server
application call a DLL containing the TCP/IP and SNMP components on
the
client PC?
Thanks,
Jon G.
