CSS format in IE/Firefox

Still when viewed in Firefox, the image doesn't fit the header.
However, when viewed in Firefox, the image is really small, smaller
than the header.

Can someone please tell me why my site which is in its early stage:
http://www.geocities.com/bhavikdhokia/newindex.htm
is formatted very differently when viewed in Internet Explorer and
Firefox?
I don't want it to be like either. When viewed, before uploading it
to Geocities, it looks like this:

[/
URL]

Can anyone help me please.

I think you should carefully compare the code that resulted in the
image you posted, with the code that is uploaded to the geocities
server. I bet the code you have at home doesn't have "width: 536px;
height: 31px" set for <div id="header">. (hint: the image with the
word "header" in it, won't fit in the 536x31 header, as it is 137px
high and 710px wide)

It does that in Firefox and in IE6. It's what you tell it to do now
that you've set the height and width of the image to be 536px and
31px. What did you expect it would do then?

Thank you for your help. It was a stupid mistake which I should learn
from.

Thanks again.
