I have seen code that will do custom paging for a datalist by alphanumeric.
The problem I can see is that the one I saw it did it by the first letter.
That would be fine if my data was evenly distributed among the letters but
it's not. S has 176 items and K has 2. I'd like to be able to have the
system do something where it would be like A-Cre.. Cre-Hie...
Anybody have any suggestions other than read the dataset and then go through
it counting records and using those values ? In other words say - Set 1,
record 1 starts with A end with ( 25 records later ) Cre. Set 2 record 1
starts with Cre and end with Hig.
I have a feeling the answer is there is no easy way to do it other than the
hard coded way.
