Because I'm speaking at the upcoming TriXML conference-July 26-29, 2006
in Raleigh, NC, I have some discounted tickets ($150 instead of $550)
that I can make available to others. I thought this would be a good
opportunity for people who are self-employed or whose employers won't
sponsor the more costly conferences.

If you're wanting more information about XML and how it can be used in
the real world, check out the TriXML conference schedule at
http://www.trixml.org/. With a theme of "XML in the Workflow", this
conference includes a variety of presentations geared toward real-world
use of XML, with an of XML and applications that include a significant
track about how XML is changing technical publication production, to
security mark-up, Web development, AJAX, collaborative publishing,
wikis, how to benefit from business podcasting, social tagging, and
content syndication techniques such as structured blogging.

There are some excellent keynotes as well, including:

- Salim Ismail - "The future of the internet: XML Syndication inside
and outside the enterprise"

- Ken Holman - "Collaborative Authoring and Publishing"

- Jonathan Robie - "XQuery / integrating Web interfaces"

If this is of interest to you, email me at (e-mail address removed) and
I'll give you the magic code. :)

Be warned that these discount tickets will be distributed on a
first-come, first-serve basis.
