So I question the worthwhile-ness of using an exe version, other than
making some windows clones 'happy' by showing them a 'trusty' exe.
But hey, the client is always right, so I guess there might be the odd
usage for something like Jet.
(ie, used for religious applications).
If you're only concern is having a .exe file, you can use a 'wrapper' too,
and include the JRE lib in your installation dir (not very weird, more
applications do that).
I use exe4j for that, and it works very fine. You java application is
wrapped in a exe file that is completely transparant to the user. It even
shows up as your application in the process list of windows (rather then
process java).
