I Need URL To Microsoft Documentation For Favorites

I'm not sure I understand the question. Favorites are Internet shortcuts
stored in a user's Favorites folder. Are you asking about how to create a
Favorites file, that is the Internet Shortcut file format?

I've been looking for an 'official' document that explains how many
characters are supported in a saved Favorite so I can provide a link in an
application I am developing. The answer is apparently 254 characters
including those which are used for the path in the file system.

Hi Clinton,

I couldn't find a document on the Microsoft site (surprise, surprise).
However, I happen to be good at research, so here you go:

http://www.wotsit.org/download.asp?f=url

2 documents in a zip file. It's not "official," but it certainly is accurate
and comprehensive.

An pure HTML version can be found at:
