Publishing ASP.Net applications

This might not be the correct location for this post, but I was wondering if
someone could point me in the right direction.

I have developed a web application that I would like to use as our intranet
site.

Let's say we own the web address:
www.MyCompany.com

I would like to publish my intranet app to:
Intranet.MyCompany.com

This will not be reachable from the outside.

Can somone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

You need to setup the domain name intranet.mycompany.com to point to a web
server. On that web server you'll need to setup a web site
intranet.mycompany.com.
Your firewall needs to be setup to not allow traffic to
intranet.mycompany.com from the outside.

In your company's domain name server, add a DNS entry that aligns
"Intranet.MyCompany.com" to it's IP. Have your Systems Admin take care of
this for you as it's probably not something you should have access to. The
SA should also take care of firewall and router set-up as well.
