Ruby / Rails Training

I am not sure if anything like this exists so thought I would ask
the experts.

I am looking for a part-time learning program focused around Ruby
and Rails. Novice to inter-mediate level. What I am looking for is
a structured program over a longer term period than the typical two
/ three day type courses. By long term I mean part time over a 3 -
6 month period. Ideally the course would be online with in person
tutorial support and with a residential section at the end.

The University of Washington was running a course but looks like
its stopped this year in favor of Objective-C.

Anyone have any good recommendations?

CCSF has an on-line course:

Don't know much else about it than that, though.

The University of Washington was running a course but looks like=20
its stopped this year in favor of Objective-C.=20

we were... it didn't stop in favor of objc, it stopped because we were =
putting way too much time into the course for what we were getting paid. =
UW really was expecting us to do 4-6 hours a week grading when in =
reality it was more like 20. I think that made it a better class, but =
with many of the students having similar expectations as UW (meaning, =
they were poor students and expecting to be able to get away with shoddy =
work), the burnout level was quite high on the instructor side.

I still have all the materials and would be happy to share them in some =
way... but I'm not willing to put 20 hours a week into grading. (esp for =
free :)

It didn't stop in favor of anything. It's on a one-year hiatus for a
number of reasons. In addition to the enormous time commitment that
Ryan mentioned, we came to the conclusion that the curriculum needed
to be revisited in light of changes to the overall UW PCE program.
Specifically, we needed to be really, really sure that we wanted to
continue doing Beginning Ruby, Rails, and Advanced Ruby in that order,
or wanted to consider moving Rails into the web development program,
or or or... there were lots of issues.

I've been told that we'll be back in Fall of 2011 with a refined
curriculum and hopefully some solutions to the time commitment issues.
