Job description:
Senior Java Developer will be responsible for -
- Providing leadership to the development team including mentoring,
coaching, and establishing development guidelines
- Utilizing strong experience with web technologies including Tomcat
or JBoss, Java Server Pages (JSP), and Java Servlets to develop
commercial websites
- Drive development efforts using JDOM, Struts, JMX, and Jython
- Leverage your strong software engineering background (with
experience in all stages of project lifecycles) to produce a variety
of Java based applications
- Focus development on efficiency and scalability, keeping pace and
improving performance with the addition of new users
- Serve as a java expert and resource to team as a problem solver
- Informal leader and hardcore coder / developer
Desired Experience
Senior Java Developer Qualifications -
- 7 + years proven work experience in software application development
with a strong background in web development required
- 4 + years proven technical background in Java/J2EE technologies, XML
& Unix/Linux required
- Lead architect experience developing in Java familiar with JDOM,
Struts, JMX, and Jython
- Experience in research and development required
- Experience with client-side Java (Applet, Swing & Java Web Start) a
plus
- Experience with IBM UniVerse database a plus
- Experience in the mortgage industry a plus
- Experience with Eclipse IDE a plus
- Positive and creative approach to problem solving required
- Must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be
able to communicate with on-site and off-site developers
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work both
independently and as part of a team and thrive on technical challenges
