Technical Overview of xProcess

Michael Redlich

Folks:

I facilitate the Java Users Group sponsored by ACGNJ. We meet on the
second Tuesday of every month at the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad in
Scotch Plains, New Jersey. The next meeting is scheduled for December
13, 2005. The user group web site can be found at
http://www.javasig.org/.

The abstract for the next meeting is as follows:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Development managers complain that they lack visibility and control
over
their projects. They spend a great deal of time putting together an
elaborate initial plan, only to see the situation changing as
requirements, estimates, priorities or resources are modified. The
problem: They are unable to update their initial plan and/or process
with real-time feedback, to reflect how well or poorly reality matches
the initial assumptions. Inefficient ways of working may be
perpetuated,
while efficient approaches may be lost and must be re-discovered over
and over again.

Chris Page, Director of Services for Ivis Technologies, will be
presenting xProcess and demonstrating how xProcess can help you solve
these problems. xProcess is the premier process improvement and
project
management environment that maximizes the success of software
development and other projects. By combining process specification,
plan generation and live project execution into one product, xProcess
not only lets teams define their development processes but captures,
modifies, and improves those processes, while continually monitoring
the
projects as they evolve.

All meetings are open to the public, so if you live in the greater New
York metropolitan area, please visit us if you have the opportunity to
do so.

Please contact me if you have any questions...

Best regards,

Mike.
