Vs.net 2005 Issue with checking out

I am using vs.net 2005 and vss. The problem: whenever i close a solution
(shutdown vs.net) vs.net wants to check out any files that are open in the
IDE.

With this situation i am unable to leave any files open in the IDE when
closing the IDE. Anyone have this problem? Help?

(These are files that are already checked in but I happen to be looking at
them in the IDE)
