Web Hosting on start page in visual studio doesn't work

I can't open the web hosting link on the visual studio start page,
it keeps returning: "This feature requires that you have connected to the
internet
previously or are currently online". I disabeled all firewalls and set no
proxy
in internet explorer. I use Visual studio 2002.

Hi,

I'm not sure why you would get that, I think it is basically just showing a
web page. In order to use VS.Net with your web hosting service you do need
to have Frontpage Extensions installed. I don't think that should stop the
web hosting page but it is all I can think of. Posting my projects with
VS.Net doesn't require me to do anything to my firewall. Good luck! Ken.

I got this a couple of times. In IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, On the
general tab go to Languages at the bottom. You must have English en-us in
the box. If it is there then just add English for Great Britian (en-gb) and
then remove it right afterwards. This somehow refresh the Language settings.
Then, apply settings and you should be done. I would do all of this while
VS.NET is closed down. Hope this works
