accessing other fuctions from javascript

Hi,
I am developing a translator which translates SALT(Speech Application
Language Tags)
files into correspoding IVR's script files. IVR script has got the
capability to access javascript or jscript files. But in SALT the
javascript/jscript functions contain SALT specific method calls like
Start(). While translating this it wont work in the IVR script.
Converting the whole .js file to IVR script is tedious task. Can anyone
suggest an alterative method y which i can use the files directly
witout translating it.
