Are there any examples/snippets/patterns documented anywhere about how to
efficiently bridge between two parts of a system one of which is operating
synchronously and the other asynchronously?
i.e A bunch of threads (in this case run by RMI) using normal function
convention to call things, and another part of the system which employs
callbacks.
