Comes the name 'bookmarklet' from getting the code after bookmarking the
link or can it be something else than a link aswell?

It can be anything you care to type into your address bar, including any
javascript you wish.

Do not use this site as a good example of anything.

For one thing it has decided that I am using IE4. I am using IE6.

Wait, when I use Mozilla it thinks I am using Netscape 5 (there never was
one of these).

Yep, using opera I get IE4.

Do you trust them now?

When IE4 is doing it, IE6 should do it anyway.

Yes, when you use mozilla with linux e.g. you can symbolic links
to run the jre. It is associated with netscape in this case.

There was a Netscape 5 in development, but it was halted and the code went
on to become the beginnings of the Mozilla project. (Though the
overwhelming majority of it was promptly scrapped and rewritten.)
