Caching - Please Help

Hi

I have a menu bar user control whose content depends upon the value of
two session variables, one of which determines whether the user is
authenticated, the other whether the user is an administrator.

Is there any way of caching this menu bar using the OutputCache
directive? I have spent hours on this and have come up with no
solution. Perhaps I am completely missing the point!!!

I would be really grateful for any advice on this.

Well, you can always use VaryByCustom="MenuSession" and then hook into the
Global.asax's GetVaryByCustomString and implement simply logic there.

In 2.0 you have a lot of programmatic control over outputcaching and should
be able to achieve something with the CachePolicy
