Compiler Error Message: CS0007

Hello,

I am getting an error when I run any C# app. The specific error is

Compiler Error Message: CS0007: Unexpected common language runtime
initialization error -- 'Class not registered '

Source Error:

[No relevant source lines]...

I found this is only occuring when I run C# apps and not VB apps. I tried
unisntall/reinstall IIS, .NET framework, etc but it did not help.

I also googled around but found no help.

I was wondering if any one had or has this issue and any help to fix this
problem is highly appreciated.

I am using win 2000 server SP4
..NET framework 1.1

Hi Ananth,

This issue is often caused by incorrect Registry permissions. I recommend
that you download Remon from http://www.sysinternals.com and get a Regmon
log.

Hi,

I had the same problem. I removed the references (e,g. System,System.web, System.xml, etc) from the right pane of the visualstudio.net (which were pointing to the old .Net Framework i.e.1.0) and added the new ones which were pointing to the newversion i.e. 1.1 ... which solved the problem.
