Cross post: How to get applet to fill client

S

Sean

I think I might need to use Javascript to "write" the apple parameters
before it starts, that's why I'm posting here, but the Q is:
How do I get the client window size in today's browsers?
I'm not concerned with previous version; This isn't a commercial app,
just my own personal entertainment.
I want to resize a java applet according to the browser window and
fill it.

Thx,
Sean

I have hidden the js really well though..
You will _never_ find it! ;-)

Well neither does my browser. On that url I get a monochrome grey document
with a useless scrollbar and in the statusbar the message 'load: class
Calculet not found' although I was able to download the .jar file directly
from the root directory of your site. There is no javascript on the page as
document.scripts.length ==0. That is in itself impressive.

Do you get moved to a 'Please install Java' page?

On that url I read "This browser supports the Java Version 1.4 required!",
and when it finishes loading, goes to another page telling me my browser
lacks the required plugs. Would n't it be less confusing to say something
like "Please wait, checking java support" on that first page?
