Distributed approaches in Java

Hi everybody,

I'd like to know your opinion about the current trends and
state-of-the-art of distributed technologies using Java: what is
currently used, why, which technologies are obsolete, etc. from RMI,
CORBA, JavaSpaces/JINI, etc. A reference were the advantages and
disadvantages of each of the approaches would also be great.
