In this recording,I demonstrate how DNS queries work when a user attempts to connect to the internet. When you type a website address into your browser, the process unfolds as follows:

1. Entering the Address: The user types a URL (e.g., xample . com) into the browser.
2. DNS Query: The browser first checks its local DNS cache to see if the IP address for that URL is already stored.
3. Sending the Query: If the IP address is not available in the cache, the browser sends a DNS query to the configured DNS server. In our example, this query might look like: A www . example . com.
4. DNS Server Response: The DNS server processes the query and returns a response containing the IP address associated with that URL.
5. Connecting to the Server: The browser uses this IP address to connect to the server hosting the website and then loads the page for the user. The recording shows what happens in case of issues, such as no response from the DNS server or incorrect addresses.
