I have an ASP.NET (C#) application on a SSL WebSite which requires the
users to upload Census data in either Excel format or XML. The
application then reads the Excel data via ODBC to populate SQL Server
tables. Should I be concerned with threats from Excel files being
uploaded to the web site? If so, what should I do to obtain the data in
a safer format without putting too much change on the end user?
The application uses Forms Authentication to validate the user so I know
who is performing the uploads.
