Based on my understand, now the question is: Is extender provider control
supported in web form application? Please post here if I have misunderstood
it.
From MSDN
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/cpguide/html/cpconimplementingextend
erprovider.asp?frame=true, we could see that "The implementation of an
extender provider for Windows Forms controls is different from that for
ASP.NET server controls." So I think it could be done in asp.net web server
control programming.
MSDN doesn't have sample for web form controls. Thanks to Andy Smith that
he has a sample on it and posted it in
www.asp.net forum. The link of his
sample is
http://www.metabuilders.com/tools/DefaultButtons.aspx. He has
implemented IExtenderProvider in the control. The source code could also be
downloaded.
