Agreed. I was pleased to see that an old third edition link redirected
to the new page:

I probably should have mentioned it myself when I noticed a week or so
ago. The Java glossary links are now all updated to the new JLS
version. Oracle's redirects to the new JLS don't preserve the
chapters or targets I had to manually figure out new numeric ones for
each link.

Effective Java has also moved, but the old version is still present.
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/jni is still at Sun.
