VS2008 SP1, .NET 3.5. We are currently localising our asp.net application
and have hit a very annoying problem. If I open a web form and select
Tools -> Generate Local Resource, it adds meta:Resource... tags to
aspanels, asp:tablerows and asp:tablecells. This has the crazy effect of
replacing the ENTIRE contents of the control with the value of its Text
property when it needs to localise (ie any child controls disappear). The
only solution we've found is to manually go through and delete the meta:
tags each time but this is very tedious. Is there a way to mark a control to
be ignored by Generate Local Resource?
TIA
