Getting Chkboxfield to postback in Custom GridView

Hello,

I have a custom control that inherits from gridview. I coded
Page.RegisterRequiresPostback and all changed fields of type
databoundfield postback. The problem is that checkboxfields do not, I
am assuming because the "Text" attribute does not change regardless of
whether the box is checked or not. Is there any way to get
information to postback?
