Hi, I've been searching the Net for 3 days (+ 4 more days of trying this and
that approach) now and am unable to solve the following scenario (that I
would like to code):
0. VSNet 2005 + ASP.NET 2.0 + MasterPages + WebParts
1. There should be one master page called "BaseMasterPage"
3. There should be several "ChildMasterPage"s that all inherit from
BaseMasterPage
4. There are dozen of Content pages each one using a different
ChildMasterPage as its Master.
5. Key problem: I would like to have a WebPartManager placed on the
BaseMasterPage
6. Each ChildMasterPage would define WebZones of its own
7. Each of the ChildMasterPages could add some components of its own.
Question:
Is this possible? If so, how do I access that WebPartManager on
BaseMasterPage from any of the Content Pages?
