How to get localhost to use my network ID?

I'm working on a project where we're authenticating people via their network
log in. When I test things on our server, it works fine (IE sees my network
id, Firefox requests it). However, on my local machine, everything is
running as ' ASPNET '

Is there a way to force my local machine to get/request my network login?
