How to Split a Multi Contact VCF File for Android or iPhone?

I need to separate contacts from one VCF file so they can be imported individually on different devices. What's the easiest way to accomplish this?

If you have many contacts in your VCF file, you don't have to split them manually. Some tools can split each contact into its own VCF file, but they keep all of the contact's information including the name, phone number, email address, address and photo. I have recently used Softaken Split vCard Pro for similar task. You can load a multi-contact VCF file, see a preview of the contacts and split all contacts or just the ones you select. It supports multiple vCard versions, so the converted files are compatible with both Android and iPhones. This was helpful for me because it processed a big VCF file without changing the original data. If you have only a few contacts, you can edit manually, but for larger sized file a dedicated splitter saves a lot of time and avoids import issues.
