I have an excellent Internet project to start a startup.

I have an excellent Internet project for entrepreneurship. But I am
not a technology-savvy guy. The requirement on technology is not that
hight if you are an experienced web programmer. Currently I have no
business plan. Because it is difficult for me to estimate size of the
potential market. And I even can't give an exact number of how much
money will be required since I have no such experience. However, as I
see it, the cost is not too much. 10,0000 yuan may be enough in the
first two years if we don't register a company. But I believe after my
products are released on the Interest, it is easy for us to find money
from investors because I really believe my products are excellent.
They are revolutionary products. I wanna find a technology-savvy guy
to work for this great cause together. I am in Hangzhou, China. If you
have any interest, you could contact me.

1. Ignorant of technology.
2. No business plan.
3. No idea of the market for the product.
4. No experience in the area.
5. Dreams of investors saving the day and making him rich.

All this, but he is willing to tell you how easy the technology
requirements are. (Don't ask how he knows this, since he admits to being
ignorant of technology.) Oh, and he's got an idea, but doesn't appear
too awfully willing to say what it is.

If anyone wants to take a shot at this, I don't know what's holding you
back. Looks like the opportunity of the century.

I am currently working on a startup, and it is far more complex than
you imagine. First, you need the money to do the development, you
don't need it after it is done! There are massive costs from hardware
to hosting to development time to copyright and patents, lawyers and
internet insurance. You discover all this by doing the business
plan. It is a sobering, humbling experience.

To get the money, you need to pay a developer to assist you with
creating the technical aspects of your business plan. Expect to pay a
lot! On the order of $5,000 to $10,000 over 2-3 months -- remember
you are paying for the expertise, someone who has done this before.
And don't even ask to get the assistance without cash up front.

Presumably you find out what his "idea" [for making money] is after you've
parted with the 10,0000 yuan "investment"...

There are thousands of ideas out there. There is no lack of ideas. See
http://mindprod.com/project/projects.html
for example.

What is lacking mostly is funding and expertise and MARKETING
(estimated by some at 5 times development cost).

If you want to attract some interest, you will have to give at least a
hint of what sort of idea you have.

Oops. Sorry about that phantom post. I dropped the reply window and it
fell in the outbox.

The top end of that is one person's salary. What are you going to use
for overhead, equipment, licensing, insurance, taxes, yourself, ...?

"Plus expenses"

It's probably a web app for deposed Nigerian royalty to access their oil
millions.
