Hello,
I have an application that was written for a client by another
developer. It is an ASP.NEt app using VB/MSSQL Database, hosted on a 2003
server machine. I cannot see what is on the server at this point, so I am
trying to figure this problem out by having files sent to me and comparing
them to my local copy. I have yet to find anything in the code that is
different.
I have searched the internet and cannot seem to find anything on this,
but I'm wondering if there is a configuration setting either in web.config,
IIS, the OS itself, that would (I'm guessing for security reasons) set the
disabled attribute on input fields with the type "file". If anybody has
encountered this, I would be very greatful for some type of lead in how to
fix this. The client's IT dept has control over the servers and are not the
easiest people to work with, so I need to find an answer I am pretty certain
of before I ask them to make changes or allow me into their environment to
make changes. Thanks.
