'inst.PathName' is null or not an object error

When I click the View running services in Help and Support Center I get
'inst.PathName' is null or not an object anyone know a fix for this problem?
I tried running Kelly's fix and right clicking pchealth.inf in c:\windows\inf
and selecting install neither fixed the problem. I also did a repair install
of XP which didn't help.
