JAAS and Novell eDirectory

I have a web application for which I intend to use JAAS to carry out
user authentication. The user information is available on a Novell
eDirectory.

I would like to know whether it is possible for me to use
JndiLoginModule class of JAAS with eDir since this class supports only
LDAP servers in RFC 2703
