I need to pick one and learn, make a portfolio! I hear people saying Java is still what all big corps use so learn Java, or C# is rising and Java is falling so learn C#. I just have no idea who to listen to, what the truth is. What would you learn if you have to choose one language?

Hello ,

as you want to increase some soft skills about coding , I won't go around : go by C#

Java is great but isolated aside C#

By learning C# , you will be entering ".Net" tools and features
- you can work for front-end , back-end too, and Apps/Gui.

.Net is VM handling now, IIS scripting and interactions, It's so deep.

to go further . '.net' It's a common package making reachable 'Vb / Asp / C++' ,
telling it's only 'for Windows' is a lie since lot of years.

By C# , you'll evolve through 'c/c++' based code, a better ground for the coding world.
added by the big stack of Windows features and tools.

C# is from 2002', and it's so advanced
